Constructed using Rab’s synthetic fleece Thermic fabric, the Geon Hoody is a mid-weight stretch fleece that is designed to provide low-bulk layering insulation for cold-weather climbing, scrambling and hiking. The Thermic fabric combines hydrophobic properties with outstanding breathability and helps to move moisture through the layers and away from your skin for dry and comfortable wear. A brushed grid backer provides improved strength as well as comfort and warmth retention. With a regular fit and stretch fleece, the Geon is the perfect mountain mid-layer as it provides a full range of mobility and does not restrict your movements. Featuring low-bulk flatlock seams, the hoody sits comfortably on your skin and reduces the risk of irritation from rubbing and chafing. This seam design allows you to layer the Rab Hoody comfortably between a base layer and shell while a low-profile, under-helmet hood with a soft chin guard offers draught-free insulation to give that extra boost of warmth when the wind picks up. Lastly, two YKK zipped hand pockets provide plenty of secure storage whilst remaining discreet and harness-compatible and a full-length YKK front zip allows you full control over ventilation even on the move.
