Utilising a seam-sealed FUTURELIGHT 3L shell fabric, the Summit Superior Trousers deliver the highest level of breathable and waterproof protection as you push your limits in challenging conditions. Exceeding a minimum hydrostatic head rating of 10K and compliant with mandatory race-kit requirements, this breathable-waterproof seam-sealed FUTURELIGHT 3L shell provides an impenetrable barrier to rain and snow for guaranteed dryness whilst still allowing air to pass through to help regulate body temperature and keep you cooler for longer during tricky sessions. Not only is this unique fabric breathable and waterproof, but it is also windproof, blocking wind from penetrating the trousers and greatly reducing the effects of windchill. FUTURELIGHT is The North Face’s most advanced breathable-waterproof fabric technology and is engineered for comfort that can’t be beaten as well as excellent protection in wet and windy weather conditions. Thanks to the light weight of the fabric, these pants can be packed into their own pocket with help from the stow loop on the back of the waist to save on space when things heat up and the Summit Superior Trousers are no longer needed. A gusseted leg opening design means that they are easy to put on and take off over shoes while hook-and-loop adjustments at the calves and ankles allow you to dial in a custom fit. This helps to prevent windchill from entering whilst still allowing for full freedom of movement over the trail. Further enhancing mobility is a breathable weave fabric at the back waist.
